Need Help Deciding Whether I should Get a Soundbar or Not

Good morning/afternoon to the community. I was wondering if I would need to have a dedicated soundcard to boost my audio's performance. I currently have Auvio SBT32210 that I'm using as my daily driver. Would it be necessary? Soundcards or DACs are the only thing in a PC I really don't quite understand about.

Looking at your motherboard's specs, you should be fine to run your soundbar straight from the motherboard. You have a couple routes to work with, aux or optical.

To answer your question, a soundcard for your PC is not necessary.

So would I utilize the optical cable that they both have then? Would it be better to use that than using the 3.5mm jacks?

You can use either. If it were me I would use aux because those cables are cheaper. Yes, coaxial/optical audio will degrade the audio signal less than sending it through aux, but you'd need studio-grade equipment to notice any difference.

Ah I see, thank you very much for your help today! I've already got an optical cable that I took from my dads house so I'll be using that.
