Which SSD should I get?

1 TB Samsung 850 EVO or 500 GB Samsung 850 EVO and 500 GB Samsung 950 Pro?

So 1 TB 2.5" SSD or 500 GB 2.5" SSD and 500 GB M.2 PCIe SSD

Plan to do some light gaming, graphic design, animations, video editing, etc.

Are M.2 PCIe SSD substantially faster than high end 2.5" SSDs? Worth the extra $200+?

M.2 SSD's are much faster than your SSD. Its really up to you whether you think you really need the extra speed or not. I couldn't give you exact numbers on how much faster. If you really feel that you want that extra speed, then go for it. If you are fine, and, the big thing being, HAVE NO PROBLEMS WITH the 850 evo speed, then you should be fine without the M.2. Really its up to you.
