Basically iv'e got a pretty good setup which is as follows:

CPU: Intel Haswell-E 5930K (not overclocked)
MOBO: MSI M-Power X-99
RAM: Corsair DDR4 Dominator Platinum 4 x 4GB 3600Mhz
GPU: 2 x Plait Titan X (not overclocked)
PSU: Hybrid Modular 850 Watt
STORAGE: 128GB M.2, 256GB 2.5" SSD, 1TB 2.5" SSD
MONITOR: 27" Dell UltraSharp UP2715K (5k)

Problem is...... the two Titan X's aren't enough to run brand new games at decent settings at 2880p! (as in brand new AAA games). iv'e been waiting for a while now and i have come to realize that buying two Titan X's was a bad move (obviously! should have got 980TI's instead at the time). Iv'e been playing slightly older games and they work fine (Skyrim, Wolfinstein: The New Order, FIFA 15-16 and others) but games like Fallout 4 and Battlefield: Hardline really struggle.

I think i should wait for pascel or polaris but im wondering, AMD wont bring out a single card more powerful than the Radeon Pro Duo in the polaris range, because that would be stupid business wise for them and Nvidia are really annoying me, they seemingly have no consumer version of pascel coming out anytime soon.

What i'm thinking is should i maybe get 3 - 4 x R9 Nano's because there good value for money. It be more powerful than having 2 x Radeon Pro Duo's whilst costing less, i may need new mobo and psu but would that work, would r9 nano's be better than 2 titan x's?

Modern gpus including titan x are barely pushing 4k with sli/xfire, nothing is going to push 5k comfortably right now. Nothign you can do really, except wait to see how much stronger the new cards are and get a pair/trio of them when they come out.

The x70 and x80 cards always come out way before Titan and ti. They surely won't be out in 2 months

You'd get a much better gaming experience with one of the curved ultra wide 100hz monitors from Acer/Asus, high hz is amazing by itself and you add in the curved ultra wide aspect and it will blow you away.

4k let alone 5k is rough on any setup. You would end up with higher fps/settings with a single Titan x at that resolution.

how are you not satisfied with 4k? i run at 1080 not even 1440 and i am perfectly fine. i am not trying to insult you or anything but isn't 4k enough? i just feel like it looks real enough and rather than trying to push to 5k settle for the 4k and enjoy the games. i am going to guess you don't even notice the difference between 4k and 5k. maybe quad titans? just slap two more in there if you have a few thousand laying around
