I have had this problem in the past. Once last year and once earlier this year in January. As to how I have got it to stop I am not sure but it keeps coming back. The things I have always done when it has happened is clean my PC and reset the computer to factory settings. Yesterday it started again. First of all I was playing a game and my computer completely shut down. I decided to clean it out and then turned it back on. A couple of hours later it happened again only this time it restarted. It did this continuously through the night but only when I was playing games. If I was browsing the Internet or speaking to a friend on Teamspeak it was fine.

Today I used Memtest86 to test if anything was wrong. I tested it for over an hour and there were no errors. After running the test and having no errors I used my computer for a few hours without a problem. Then I decided to play some games. I started playing the game CS:GO and within about 5 minutes it unexpectedly restarted. After that it got worse because within 5 minutes of that restart it happened again, this time I was only on YouTube. No game was on. Once again after about 25 minutes of browsing the Internet it shut off. The computer stayed on however, the computer did not fully restart. Everything was running. The fans, lights etc but the screen was off. The other strange thing is when I tried to turn off the computer by the power button it wouldn't work, I had to turn it off by the wall. When I turned it on again I left it on for a couple of hours with nothing running. A couple of hours later I went on Twitter and after about 1 minute of browsing it shut off again.

I am writing this on my laptop and honestly have no idea what is causing this to happen but to anyone that has read this and can possibly help thank you in advance. I'm not sure what the problem is and it would be great if someone could help me out in anyway.

So quick update after I uploaded this post last night I tried to download malwarebytes but my computer shut off again. After turning my computer back on again I downloaded malwarebytes and did a scan. It scanned no viruses but since I've downloaded it I've have no problems. Not sure if it's a coincidence or what but I've had no problems since then.

Final update. Not sure if anyone can help but on the 6th April I also took all my components out of my PC, checked them and then placed them back. Since then I had no problems up until this morning. Went on a game and within an hour my computer restarted. Seems more like an overheating issue than anything else but all my temps look fine. There's no consistency with all of this think i'm done with this PC :pt1cable:
