Will this gpu work with my computer?

intel i3 2120
8gb ddr3 1333 mhz
MSI H61M-E23 motherboard
Power Supply Unit: CIT 500W

the card i want to install is MSI NVIDIA Gtx 960 Gaming 2 GB PCI-E Graphics Card

will this gpu work with my computer and will it bottleneck with my cpu?

also is there a better card i should aim for or is this fine?

Looks good, I recommend looking up the exact parts on PCPartPicker and doing it that way. I just did this quickly to see, here is what I got. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cNzXXL Should be kinda close. I'd say you should get a better CPU to run it, might not really bottle neck it. I don't know too much because I am an AMD guy myself but your card looks good and everything. I recommend AMD / Radeon but its all personal preference.

Yes, second Gen i3 will bottleneck 960 in certain games. I am also concerned with the power supply being used. Make sure you have a quality unit that can at least deliver 450w.

Xfx 550w are about $55. Good budget units. If budget constrained, the gtx 950 is not much slower, but is a good deal cheaper.
