Is it possible to overclock the Pentium G3258 on non-Z motherboards with Windows 10? I've read conflicting accounts that say a Windows 10 update has disabled overclocking the G3258 on non-Z boards, while other people say otherwise.
well, yes, with some bios (like msi do have one overclocking bios for h81m-p33)
you can overclocking the g3258 with non-z motherboard.
and I dont think there will be any issue with window 10
windows doesn't have anything that is related to overclocking
check you motherboard's chipset at intel's site ""http://ark.intel.com/#@Chipsets""
if your chipset proved to overclocking then you can overclock your G3258
but otherwise you can't overclock or you risk to expose your system to high instability
