Is 6GB Ram good enough for modern gaming?

I actually have 8GB but I bent one of the pins in the ram slots so I'm down to 6GB, I don't want to buy a new motherboard atm, would 6GB be good enough for now?
P.S. I never do anything intensive in the background like opening multiple tabs or recording

Nowadays, with games being 64-bit and using more then 2GB, 6GB is considered mid-tier. 8GB is pretty much standard now, though you'll still be OK with 6GB in most circumstances.

8GB is recommended for a lot of games but I think you will probably be okay with 6GB.

It sounds like you were using 4 2GB sticks to get to 8GB before breaking one of your RAM slots. If you wanted to get back up to 8GB you could always buy a package of 2 4GB sticks or just 1 8GB stick.

My motherboard is really old and will only accept 2GB modules or less, 4GB modules have to be double sided (can't find any anyways) and 8GB modules flat out won't work. Thanks for your advice anyways, I think 6GB will be fine for now :)
