I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, I was between motherboards and overclocking so if isn't the right place please move the thread

I have a MSI 970A-G46 and a Phenom 955 with an Antec H2O 620. Since I bought the motherboard I had been using 2x4 1333 MHz Kingston and it OC'd to 3.4 GHz but yesterday I bought 2x4 1833 Kingston (for a total of 16GB) and the CPU went to 3.6 GHz.

I don't know what exactly made the change, the only different component are the new ram sticks. Does anyone know why? I'm curious about that
