What to do after building a PC?

When you have built a PC and turn it on for the first time, what do you do. Like how do you install the operating system and do you need drivers and how do you get the drivers and stuff. Thanks.

ALso how do you tell the system if to use intergrated graphics or a graphics card

If you have an os install disk and a cd drive then you'd just put the disk in and the pc will boot to it automatically. After which you'd install the os and then proceed to download any updates first, then get all other drivers needed.

Computers now adays you really don't have to worry about making it select integrated vs PCIE GPU

Download and save the latest drivers for your motherboard.

Try not to confuse Windows with your initial installation, i.e., leave out any extra HDDs, wireless or other add-in cards or card readers, panels, etc --- install them after the OS and most-recent motherboard drivers are installed.

For me, it's not really built until I have the OS, patches, and my standard apps installed.
