CPU not booting up , no bios screen ,GA-Z87X-OC

Hi all,

i am using GA-Z87X-OC gaming board
Core i5 processor
Crossair 8 GB DDR3 1600MHZ RAM

when i power up cpu , its starts and just in 2 second it restart again,cycle repeating itself.

i connected CPU HDMI TO TV HDMI Screen for installation. its shows no signal. i tried to change source on TV also.

my doubt is i connect 24 pin connector and 4 pin connector to board. is it the problem bios not booting up?

8 pin power is necessary to boot up bios?

If the CPU is newer then the motherboard, then the BIOS might not be compatible, there will be no literature about this on either boxes. Youre best off taking the two into a computer store and getting them to test it for you

CPU looks completible , i read on MB specification and buy CPU.

and even without cpu there is same situation with MB, i also tried with 24 pin and 8 pin on MB, but still same issue. i also tried reset CMOS ,and bettery reset but its still in same condition.


how can i sure that CMOS is reset successfully?
