If hynix makes components for corsair memory, is hynix memory the same?

Your corsair module contains a hynix chip. And how many ddr4 modules made by hynix have you seen? They mainly stick to the ICs nowadays.

Well look at the hynix, it's just plain memory while the corsair has a heatsink and whatnot, so generally should be better for overclocking. Basically like looking at a generic nvidia GPU and an EVGA(or asus or gigabyte or anything) GPU, uses the same chip but with some flavor thus making it even better.

Was reading a crucial post about how great their RAM is because they not only manufacture the chips, but the modules.
I am understanding that you are saying the difference between Hynix and Corsair would be the quality of the heat sink and thermal adhesive, right?

Pretty much that should be about it. Also crucial's post about that might be somewhat true, but hynix have proven themselves to be at the top of ICs manufacturers, after all they are the second largest ICs manufacturer in the world only after samsung.
