Can I replace a laptop motherboard with the exact same new one?

So basically my laptops motherboard shit the bed and I am looking to replace it with the exact same model and just transplant over the cpu and gpu and what not. I have done this on a desktop before no problem but I believe laptops are different?

So to summarize I want to replace my broken motherboard with a new one that is the exact same spec and model in every way. Will it work?

For people who would say just buy a new laptop it is worth 1500 and a new motherboard would be 100-150

Well I don't think you will be able to replace the motherboard maybe if you take it to a expert they might be able to do it but it also depends on the laptop so I would just take it to a Laptop fixer and get a quote

as above done it plenty times

as long as its the identical board to the original

and its a bit more of a pain than a desk top i suggest taking photos as you do it or making a diagram what screws went where

as the screws are different sizes/lengths--had a friend who put a long screw back where should have been a short one and he screwed it straight through the motherboard
