Hello Friends,

Please advice me on which CPU cooler should I buy I want to overclock my i5-6600K to at least 4.0ghz or above...My budget is only $45 and I cant spend anything beyond that...I have seen a few popular coolers like 212evo or Tx3 that are very cheap but will they get me beyond 4.0ghz?? If not please suggest me a good air or liquid cooler for overclocking in my budget...I would also appreciate if the cooler suggested is easier to install :D

Solution
I am running a i7-5820k with an Cooler Master EvO 212 @ 4.2GHZ with idles temps of ~30C and under load temps at ~65C (some cores hotter than others).

It's a great cooler, although it is rather large -fan might/will not fit with some higher-profile (taller) RAM. But the fan(s) can slide up a bit to make some room without effecting cooling.

I would recommend using just one fan (opting out of the optional -also not included- 120mm fan) in a pull configuration (fan blowing air out/away from the heat-sink, as opposed to blowing through/onto the heat-sink. Less dust build up, and for me actually slightly better temps with just the one fan.

Just watch your temps! Aida64 is a great program (trial/free version is plenty...

Do not get water cooling! Never buy budget water cooling because if there is a leak because of the lower grade materials you will regret it, I have recently bought a great CPU Cooler called the Cryorig H7 it is light and very quiet and efficient and is perfect for over clocking I hope this helped

I would recommend liquid cooling if you want to push it any higher or mess around with voltages much.

That was actually my first choice but it was way out of my budget, Is there any other low budget cooler that may do the job or get me close to 4.0ghz??

Hyper 212 Evo is a chicken pssy cpu cooler for overclocking, i got it for my 4790K, and i can't even push it for 1.3V , the cpu is overheating all the way up to 90C ! and i hate not getting all the juice out of my cpu! So right now i m telling yall , the best bang for bucks cpu cooler is the Hyper 612 Evo v2 . This cooler is simply amazing, cauz this cooler is massive!
three times the size of 212 evo, 6 copper heat pipes for only $45! it is liquid cooler's performance level for half the price.
it is so much cooler than 212 evo, with the same 4790K 4.7ghz 1.3V i m getting around 75C Max. That is 15C cooler!
The only reason 612 evo didnt get as popular as 212 evo is because the first generation of 612 has design fault, causing overheating, so 212 evo get popular instead, now cooler master fix the problem with revision of 612 evo v2 , it is now the new performing king!
