I run trading software and want to build a new PC for better performance. Can I run a utility to profile my existing machine ( with my current software running ) and it then make build-recommendations for what new components or features would most improve performance? e.g. my software might not use 3D rendering so which graphics card would provide top resolution and speed without wasting money on 3D features. Or which CPU features should I prioritise, etc.

For what you are using, I would say faster processor, more ram maybe, possibly an SSD. It's not like you are doing cad work or gaming with this system.
