Monitor: ASUS VX229 21.5 HD monitor

I want to buy another 3TB HDD. Which HDD should i take Western Digital Green or Western Digital Purple??

Solution
I knew you would do that. Because as stated above (twice) purple is for video/surveillance, green is the lower powered normal option, black is the higher powered option (but still slow compared to an SSD). Blue is between green and black.

As to what the difference is, as stated above the firmware is modified for those use cases, except for black which has extra physical components. As to what these modifications are, no idea you'll have to ask WD very nicely.

I want for Gaming.. And for storage my games and stuff like that. I heard the green one is Energy efficient and doesn't have fixed RPM. And Purple for Video and surveillance which will be on all the time.. SO i dont know which to take to take as storage for my Gaming PC. My gaming PC has not reached 1h yet so its much efficient.,.. So which one i should take

Hey there, SUDEEP SARKER goku!

I'd try to explain in details those two WD HDD models and you can see for yourself why the other guys are recommending you this model.
However, I should start by sharing that the WD Green is no longer a model that we offer (not as it used be, at least). We have simplified the HDD selection process by consolidating our mainstream PC products to only the WD Blue family. Where you will be able to find our secondary storage HDD solution ( 5,400 RPM) (previously known as WD Green) with available capacities up to 6 TB.

As for the WD Purple, just like @13thmonkey mentioned, it's our surveillance storage solution and it is built for 24/7, always-on, HD security systems. This HDD model is not designed for desktop use and incorporates a different firmware that optimizes the drive for camera/surveillance support in DVR and NVR security systems. Besides, the AllFrame technology prioritizes write-operations due to its surveillance purpose. This basically could give you bad read transfer rates.

Hope I was able to help out. Keep us posted if you have additional questions! :)
