Hello,i am planning to buy a cpu cooler for my 4690k(for mild overclocking).my mobo is msi z97 pcmate.and the cabinet is circle cc830 http://www.circlect.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=226
Specifications say that it supports 170mm cpu cooler height.so i had decided to buy cm hyper 212x.
But i read on youtube comment's section that a guy had bought the cooler and couldn't fit the side panel after installing it.
So,i was in doubt and decided to measure myself and and found that i could install a cpu cooler of height 150mm approx max.
Now i have decided between
1. cm hyper tx3 evo http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/cpu-air-cooler/hyper-tx3-evo/ ,
2. cm hyper 103 http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/cpu-air-cooler/hyper-103/ ,
3. deepcool ice edge 400xt http://deepcool.com/product/cpucooler/2013-12/7_210.shtml and
4. deepcool gamaxx s40 http://deepcool.com/product/cpucooler/2013-12/7_512.shtml
(all these are readily available in india except tx3 evo right now).
Please help me decide which one to choose from these for best cooling solution(don't want water cooling).thanks.

Solution
I think a lot of it comes down to proper mounting .. poor paste job improper mounting [too loose - too tight - uneven - to much paste- too little - fan profiles - case air flow - what have you '] can be the difference between satisfactory cooling and poor cooling performance .

you can see just here at toms guys with top end or water coolers still cry there chips run hot or temps not as they feel they should be

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/all.html?refine=+4690k+hot

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/all.html?refine=4690+high+temps

that's just on your chip

to me the cpu cooler is the hardest thing to do on a build its a fine line between a good mount and a bad mount

good luck
??? don't know , it one I had around from other builds and just a hand me down / reuse what I all ready got deal on that , and just used it on this I mean so far I had no heat issues with it [I don't overclock] maybe its good? maybe its luck ???

lok up a site called frosty tech and they do cooler tests and all for what its worth ?

Thanks for replying.after reading from frostytech website,i think tx3 evo and gamaxx s40 are good.i liked cm gemini but it is too pricy here.i was also thinking of hyper t4 but could find it above.do u suggest t4 over tx3.thanks for helping me out.

Thankyou both for giving ur precious time and effort.i just came to know that i can still install hyper 212x without any problem though there is very less space remained between the side panel, thanks to the tomshardware member VIKBOT for telling me,he had the same cabinet as mine.now i will surely buy 212x.
you tomshardware's techboys rock.thanks.
