Hello, I was playing some games on my computer. It turned off because of it overheating (im 97% sure) It has happened before that it goes off like that but usually I can just restart it without any problems. But this time it wont start. I opened upp the comp and cleaned the fans and saw that the CPU cooler was completely clogged up with dust.I cleaned the fan nicely. I put everything back but still nothing. I tested to see if the PSU was working and it worked fine. Sometimes when i press the start button on the computer the CPU fan goes for like 0.001 second and a blu LED light flashes on the motherboard. Im not very good at this stuff so ill need a dummy explanation. If you can tell me what i need to replace or what i need to do i would be very grateful.
MSI motherboard (dont know exact name)
Corsair CX500
AMD processor

Solution
Unmount the cooler, clean him, reapply paste, and try with other Ram

If still nothing then see your motherboard's manual what the Blue led light indicates
if it the power good led it should stay on and not be blinking if it is it may be bad power issue. the cx power supply is not a good unit for a gaming pc. if your cpu did over heat take power off the mb and clear the cmos. a lot of mb and cpu have over heat protection and sometimes if it trips you may have to clear the cmos to reset the pc.

Hello stavrosmast, my friends says it wouldnt be the ram because a PC starts without a ram (his words not mine) can you explain why it would be the ram?

EDIT: I have now noticed that if i twist and turn my atx 20 pin cable the same thing happens as if i would turn of psu switch and pressing start button. Loose cable fitting ?
