I am new to pc gaming and I am about to build my first rig and setup and I am wondering what the best mouse would be mainly for counter strike I have been playing with a 10 dollar mouse (wireless) and usually top frag I want to upgrade to a good gaming mouse to improve my play the mice I have in mind are the Razer Deathadder Chroma, Logitech g502, Corsair m65, Razer Mamba or a steel series mouse I am also getting a reflex lab extended mouse mat from amazon so that could give you and idea what I will be using it on. Mainly for cs go and other fps Thanks for any help!

Stay away from the Deathadder Chroma, and the Mamba is too expensive for what it delivers. I have a Deathadder Chroma and have had several problems, from a known double-click issue showing up, to the glue under the rubber grip on the left side of the mouse liquefying.

Out of the ones you mentioned I can recommend the G502 the most. It has a good sensor, enough buttons, and a shape I find very comfortable. The M65 is also decent but too small in my opinion, never been able to effectively play FPS with mice of that form.

See if you can find a logitech g9x but only brand new (are still some around in original package sealed but price might knock you over ) or g502 should be your choice (as most decent choice from what is available right now)...

i have like a collection of fliping mices always trying to get something better then the g9x for fps but.... i am afraid except g502 the rest are pretty behind, in terms of accuracy, endurance and comfort... as personnally i am not impressed in a mouse in how good it looks how many colour shifts, how many are buying it, and other crap gimmick like is fed to some tournement from the sponsors...

NOTE: As you say you are new to pc gaming, maybe you should start first with something more basic: wired, usb, laser, and has a decent size for your hand, and take it from there rather then spending almost as much as a motherboard on a mouse... when you step up to another level of gaming like hardcore or just a bit addicted to a certain game, step up then as you will now by then what you need and what would advantage you. even then the gain is minimmal i would say from a cheap decent mouse to a very performant one depending of game, but might give just the little extra that does the difference.

G502, glad to see others like this mouse as much as me, 11 programmable buttons, 12000 dpi, frictionless scrolling with clutch to enable clicky scrolling, tuneable to your surface, custom weights, it's really a fantastic mouse.

Thanks for the reply! but when I said im new to pc gaming I mean I have recently decided to build a rig but I have been playing counter strike for a while and I am just looking for a very precises and accurate mouse that will help me get those one taps and all I was recently playing on a laptop so my ping and fps made it difficult I just need a mouse to make it more accurate and will make up for my 60 fps when everything is turned down very low on my laptop.

I have been using my Deathadder Chroma for a little over a year now and I really like it. I haven't experienced any of the problems you have and hopefully it will stay that way. I don't have any experience with other gaming mice because I just used a spare Dell mouse from the office before the Deathadder. From my time with the Deathadder I wouldn't have any problem recommending it but obviously, your mileage may vary.

I also don't use any of the extra buttons and macros on my mouse or Razer Blackwidow keyboard so I can't tell you how well those work.

Unfortunately it's not just me that has had such problems. Razer products from that time (including Deathadder Chroma and Blackwidow Chroma) have a track record of issues, and even current products have better alternatives that are either equally or lower priced. A little googling will reveal just how many people have had the double click issue with the Deathadder Chroma which makes it utterly useless for anything the moment it appears. Putting aside the fact that their products are overpriced, no high-end peripheral should ever have such quality issues.

Taking all this into account there is absolutely no valid reason to choose the Deathadder (chroma or not) over the G502.

If Razer is more prone to problems it makes sense to go with Logitech. I won't dispute that. I take a little bit of issue with your last sentence though. I looked at the G502 before I bought my mouse and decided to go with the Deathadder for a few reasons and they are valid to me. First, it was about $20 cheaper.

Second, I absolutely hate the design of most gaming mice. Logitech and most of their competitors insist on sharp angles all over the place that look ridiculous to me. I strongly prefer the more low-key, rounded design of the Deathadder Chroma. I'm not a Logitech hater. I have been using the Logitech M510 wireless mouse and plenty of their previous models and keyboards at my office for years. If the G502 was designed more like the G500s or G300s maybe I would have made a different choice.

I originally ended up with the 2014 model of the Razer Blackwidow Stealth as my first mechanical gaming keyboard because it was on sale for $60. This is the non-chroma version without backlighting. The logo has a green LED but that's it as far as lighting goes.

I was a little skeptical of them using their own keys instead of cherry but it had positive reviews on Amazon and it was a good price so I took a chance.

It might be shallow but another part of the reason I went with the Deathadder Chroma is because It matched my new gaming keyboard. The Chroma features are really cool but since keyboard can only show green I have mostly left the mouse the same color.

i gues every one will agree that g502 is one of the best options, the other options more or less are exposed pretty decent here. Just make sure as you come from a laptop that you put on your rig a 144hz monitor a gtx 960 or amd r9 380 will drive any fhd 144hz monitor above the required fps and guarentee low lag... i downgraded myself from 27" ips 144hz tho viewing angles are stunning to tn 144hz and tho in any other game ips is ok in cs seems like speedy tn is still the king... now depending how future proof you want your rig and what else you use it for that exposed can be a minimum or optimal... this above are most important but obvious the platform must not let you down... and a i5 or fx 8300 are some points i would not go under unless for intel you choose i3 6100 skylake on a win10 but i would not go for any other i3 from older generations in terms of csgo (trust me on this as fluidity is affected).

i am pretty sure you already decided on your rig but the above are suggestions that i think should be taken in the account otherwise you might get dissapointed after spending some money on a rig that not serve the purpose.

A BIG NOTE: avoid wifi for csgo as far as tested i think is the only game encountered so far that is very sensitive to latency introduced by wifi in cs go 3ms you loose becouse of your wifi card compared to wired lan can be a deal breaker, and i have to say 3 ms or2 ms you can achieve on wifi only with a pretty expensive router and a pcie dedicated expensive top of the range card...

ps: i play csgo, wot, dota, witcher 3, bf4 at the moment, and i play cs since 2001 and went from 1.5 to 1.6 source and csgo(first cs pc rig i had was equiped with AMD Duron 800mhz and Riva TNT2 32MB and the lan used to be a maximum 10mbps connection) ; i passed the transition from lan to wi-fi; the transition from crt to lcd and oh my lcd were shit at the bigining and to be fair still are but some are decent now for cs in terms of input lag...

I use to like Logitech stuff like their Extreme 3D Pro Joystick but after that, I sort of fell off the boat because of their quality. I owned a G7 cordless and another I believe was a G602. They were the best mice I ever used, comfortable, easy to use but some of the switches wore out in 6 to 9 months. Same with their keyboards, they just didn't last. Doesn't mean I don't love their products. I'm currently using one of their cheapest keyboards, K360 (19.00 on sale) and I just think it's one of the best throw away boards on the market. Has a decent touch, responds well. The key stroke is short, (strike is shallow), flat and can take some punishment so I'm good with that. It last maybe about a year or two and I toss it because it gets worn out or quits. Hop in the car and go and get a new one. Had the current one for a 1 1/2 yr. Will get another one soon.
I'm currently using a Gigabyte GM- M8000X 'Ghost' mouse (wired) which I find is comfortable, nice weight with good switches and response but the buttons feel poly-plastic. Sort of cheap to the touch rather than a solid click/tap.
Does quick work in meele fights. I call that a blessing in multiplayer team deathmatch. I think it does pretty good. When ya gotta fight with 64 guys in a BF3/BF4 close quarters, all the different pings and computer rigs the server allows, it's never going to be accurate every time you fight a guy. You just want to get the kill most of the time. Lol, high ping and laptop guys can be infuriating.

You went from LAN to WiFi. I got a friend who did that. He's actually a pretty good fps player. Thinking about installing a WiFi board in an older work computer (my old gaming rig). So which card did you choose?
