Should I just buy or wait for Pascal?

Ok, I waited for new Pascal GPU for a couple of months, damn... better say more than a half year, hoping on new Nvidia GPU release. I watched 2h of Jen-Hsun Huang presentation on GTC and nothing about releasing dates of new GPU was said. Everyone thought that new Nvidia GPUs will be launched in April this year. So what to do? Buying new 980ti or wait for another year for a Pascal release on Q4 or probably Q1 2017... I read somewhere that maybe around that time Pascal will be released.
I know that AMD launches new GPUs on summer but I'll stick with Nvidia because honestly I believe that pascal would probably blow away Radeon GPUs... and I don't want to regret later for buying it.
So, should I buy gtx980ti now, and sell it later to buy pascal, or wait for another year?

Here's the way I see it with "waiting". With technology even the newest stuff is outdated the moment you get it home. If you are going to wait for Pascal, why not wait for the release after that? You know within 6 months to a year a new release will be out again...

If the current release will work for your needs, get it. The GTX 970 for example hasn't dropped in price since it's release in November 2014 (for the most part, maybe $20 at best). The Haswell i5 cores (mine for example) never dropped after Skylake and still right there with the benchmarks. -- you get the point

Stick with the GTX 980 ti, it's topping all the charts. Only REAL reason to upgrade is to be able to say you have one...who cares?

If you can live with games not being ultra-uber-max settings a over 9000 Hz, adjust your settings if you need to, and wait for the next generation, since this is an upgrade. (If it were a new build I'd suggest a 970/390 to tide you over until the next generation, which is what I did, and am doing.)

Personally, I like AMD. Generally speaking, cards at the same price-point generally favor AMD at my preferred 1440p. I'm going to wait, however, until both teams have released their initial products, and choose based upon comments by reviewers I trust.

Since my trusted reviewers and yours could very well be different, our purchased cards may be different. Vive la concours!

Yes, I think you are right. The more I think about it, the more I'm certain to buy 980ti, but then again I own Gigabyte GTX 970 G1, and I'm not in that hurry because that card is awesome...
