Speakers do not play sound when I switch from 7.1 to stereo

I want to switch from 7.1 to stereo, but there's no sound when I do. I've been playing around in the Realtek HD Audio Manager but I can't figure out what the solution is.

You set the 'Speaker Configuration' in Realtek software to match your speaker system.

If you want only stereo sound, buy a pair of stereo speakers or a 2.1 speaker set.
