Replacing my Motherboard

I recently made the decision to upgrade my CPU and go intel, I purchased a motherboard and an i7-4790k, and I was wondering what I should be cautious about.

At first I only imagined it would be like replacing anything and it would all work fine, I've upgraded my GPU before, same with the power supply, and I thought it would all work the same but after hearing a ton of things about windows 10 and what not I'm a little intimidated.

Will I need to re-enable my windows key? What will happen when I put in a new motherboard and CPU?

Thanks in advance everybody. Cheers.

Solution
You may need to reinstall the OS
You may need to call MS for a reactivation with the new hardware.
If they say no, you may have to purchase a new OS.
