Hi

So I think the mic and headphone jack are switched on the front panel. Plug headphone into headphone jack, it doesn't work. Plug headphone is mic jack, headphones work like headphones. I normally use a set of speakers connected to the green speaker i/o slot on the back of my pc for sound though.

This is an issue because when I plugged my new usb mic I got in today, it gets picked up like a speaker and not a mic. I tried everything to get my When I plug a different mic into into the front mic slot, or back pink mic i/o slot, it doesn't work either

So my question is if I plugged something in wrong on my motherboard or if the case is just wired bad. I have a gigabyte z170m pro4 mobo (LGA1151) and I'm pretty sure the only cable is the front hd_audio one, and I don't think I messed that up.

Are there other cables I could've messed up? The tiny 1 pin ones?

Any help is welcome. Thanks.

Maybe I'll try taking out the hd_audio plug that powers the front panel jack. It doesn't seem to be doing its job correctly anyways.

Will post results.
