2-300 build may use old parts to old tower

Ok a friend of mine has
A8 3850
One 8gb ddr3 ram
450wat powersupply
Case
Windows 7-10 not available

I was thinking of him getting the 950 and overclocking the CPU but is it worth it he mainly wants to play modded minecraft and some othe games if they run

Or getting a g3258 and a cheep motherboard with the 950 and junk the apu

Or getting a old exon workstation tower 4/8 core @3ghz 6gb ram os and such for $150 and get a 950 to make the $300

better off geting the g3258 and h81 mb. it let him drop in an i3 or i5 when he has the money. he be able to reuse the ram and power supply. have him look on parts picker and if you have a local micro center look at the r380 cards they been on sale for less money then the 950 and are faster.
