Hey guys. I bought the game a couple months back and it lagged pretty good. I bought 8GB more ram and it cleared up a lot of the lag. The game recently had an update, and now AFTER the major fps lag clears, I only get 22 FPS maximum. This is on low settings. Nothing more I can do to improve the FPS. Right now I'm just running the game off of an AMD A6 6400K APU with integrated graphics. I want to buy a radeon r7 240, WITHOUT crossfiring them, would I get better FPS? WITH crossfiring them would I get better or worse FPS? (I'm planning on the 2GB r7 240)

System Specs:
gigabyte ga-f2a88x-d3h Mobo
12GB gskill ddr3 SDRAM
AMD A6 6400K APU
Corsair CX500 PSU
Windows 10 (64bit)

CF is not recommended with such a weak cpu

dual cores will always lag online games

you are better off getting a gtx 950 plus a proper athlon x4 cpu compatible with your motherboard

Not very true, dual cores will not always lag online games. I have a i3-4170 and I get the same frames as my buddy with a i5-4660. Dual cores are fine for games if you are on a budget. I do agree you need to get a new CPU. A good budget card would be a 750ti or a GTX 960

R7 240 would be a waste of money to get for gaming on, unless you are OK with low settings and running on 720 resolution. Go up a range to R7-250X or nVidia 740. If you can spend about $100-120 for the card, then the 750Ti or R7-360 are good cards to get.

I play on 1280/720 resolution. And on low graphics. Even on low, the game still looks amazing. So for the time being I am perfectly fine with low graphics. I'm trying to budget my money here because as you know I'm using an a6...... not a good processor. I want to get an Athlon x4 860k processor, and still have a decent gpu. So I don't have ltos of money to spend on a great gpu. All I really want to know is will the game run at a steady 30 FPS at the described settings with a radeon r7 240 and a6 6400k. Thanks for your reply.

Look up some benchmarks and see how it will run. Why are you planning on upgrading the CPU when your video card will be too slow to make use of the faster CPU? If you get the R7 240, may as well stick with the CPU you have.

There is barely a $20 difference in price between the 240 and much faster cards. Faster video card, then it's worth upgrading CPU.

If your plan is to by cheaper video card, then CPU then better video card, all you would have done is paid twice for a video card. Buy an $80-100 video card now, upgrade CPU later.
