how to clean RAM?

Solution
Best I've found is Isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol), applied with a lint free cloth or foam swab......erasers tend to leave gummy residue and cotton swabs (Q-Tips) often leave cotton fibers

Canned air can also be used to clean out your enclosure - though Gingerbread is right, it would seldom need cleaning unless it's overheating or in a super dusty environment. Just be sure to have turned the PC off and unplugged it before you use the canned air - and ensure you hold it upright as condensation/moisture can spray out if the can is held at different angles, and spraying water on to your RAM/mobo is bad bad news.

Whit the time and room condition there could be some "patina" on RAM DIM tracks that in many case cause strange PC problems. In this case to remove the patina you should remove the RAM and clean tracks on MB DIM and RAM it self. I personally use special PCB dry contract cleaner (every important is to be dry other wise you should have wait the liquid to vaporise before power up) use it on both RAM and DIM port. On the ram spray and use eraser (pencil eraser could it too) to clean the tracks, for the DIM port spray and use tooth brash or similar to clean in. That should be enough to be sure your ram is clean and dont cause you some issue.

P.S.: If you are not sure what are you doing dont proceed because you could do more dmg on your computer then good. Get your PC/laptop to some repair shop to do it for you.
