Hello, everyone. I need some help. I recently built my own Gaming set up and I and I am having some issues with it. It has already been a week since I have put it together and I have spent about half of that time trying to troubleshoot software and trying to get my second graphics card to work

As for the component list, it is as follows:

CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K
MOTHERBOARD: Asus X99-A/USB3.1
VIDEO CARD: X2 Sapphire Radeon R9 390X Nitro 8GB
MEMORY: Corsair 4x4GB DDR4-2666 Black
SOLID-STATE DRIVE: Samsung 850 Evo 1TB
SOLID-STATE DRIVE: 950 Pro M.2 PCIe 512GB drive (C: drive)
HARD DRIVE: Toshiba P300 3TB
CASE: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe black
POWER SUPPLY: EVGA Supernova GS 1050W
CPU COOLER: Corsair Hydro H100i v2 Liquid Cooler
OPTICAL DRIVE: Samsung SH-224FB 24x DVD Burner
OPERATING SYSTEM: Microsoft Windows 10

I can get my PC to work with only one video card installed but when I install the second the computer locks up and I am unable to do anything. At first I couldn't locate the AMD settings tool but after finally installing the correct driver I have access to it.

So after installing the second card. When I tried to go into the AMD settings it said that no AMD drivers were found and to install AMD drivers. I tried to reinstall the same ones as before and my screen went black. I have let it sit for a time to see if it would come back up. So far everything is still black and about every 20 seconds or so one of the fans speeds up and then slows down.

I went to power cycle the PC and I felt the second video card heatsink is really hot compared to the first. I assume it was what was causing the fans to turn on high. Now I have tried to turn on the PC and I can load into windows but it freezes after a little while when I am trying to get into the start menu or do anything else.

Any ideas how to proceed?

Solution
Test the cards one at a time, make sure they both work on their own. If they do, then it may be a power supply issue, or maybe the second PCIe slot is bad. If these are new parts, contact support for the video card to see what they say.
