Hello,
Today I have upgraded my graphics driver and have restarted my computer.
Since I have turned off my computer, I have not been able to get the computer to connect to an output of any source,Wheter it is HDMI, DVI or RGB. After an hour of searching, I had realised it was a problem with my CPU and its power cable. (Fans, PSU and mobo still working at this stage). After I had disconnected my 2x 4 pin CPU power connector cables and tried to turn on the computer, I have lost all power to the fans, Mobo and PSU. Being frustrated, I removed the CPU Power connector cables with the power connected but with system off.
I have searched through toms hardware throughly for information on how to boot the computer again, including the guide exclaiming to fix all boot problems-

Once I had no ideas left, I deciding to create my own thread, hoping for more answers..
Things you should know...
1. This is a pre-built computer. I did not build this myself and is only 10 Months old. Specs for the computer I bought can be found here: https://www.pccasegear.com/products/34435/pccg-assassin-980-ti-gaming-system

2. As suspected, I am not very informed with computer terms well. I will not know complex terms :)

3. I had only installed this update today. It is the same day that the thread was created also.

I feel that is all, please let me know if anything needs to be addressed.

Thank you all, Robert Smith.

@DonkeyOatie Well, I have the 'signal light' indicating that my OS has been attached to power when the power cord is plugged in to the PSU, meaning the motherboard has indicated power. I cannot find a signal from the gpu, with the motherboard. Is there a way to find a signal just from the GPU?

@Sargeant_Sneaky Yes, that path exactly. I don't have any LEDs on the computer at the moment other then the motherboard 'signal' light, which does not mean much but the motherboard is indicating power.
I have just tried booting without the GPU, no luck unfortunately. Tried to reboot after re-installing but no luck their either.

Thank you for the replies.

Your computer has two ways of outputting a video signal. Either from the motherboard or the GPU. When the GPU is installed properly, only it will work. I wanted to make sure that your were trying to get the video signal from the correct place.
Have you put all the cables back in to where they used to be?

@DonkeyOatie Ever since I had received the new computer I had not been able to get a signal output from the GPU. I had tried it with the CPU instead and it had worked fine from then, so I settled for the CPU. Is there a way I could try the GPU itself? And I have put all cables removed back in again, including the 2x4 CPU connectors.

There are 6 photos highlighting the inside of my computer, including the CPU. The last two photos have power connected, as shown by the light on the Mobo.

@antennas44 I cannot run my computer at all. I can imagine it is a software problem with the CPU not working but I cannot find a fix to the power problem. Is there a way I could run the bios straight from the Mobo or GPU?

Okay sure! I will leave the computer alone until tomorrow night and see if it works then. Could you link me to where these other people have had problems? I would like to see what they are saying in terms of their problem. I am
Planning to go back to the shop I bought it from within the next week if I cannot find a fix online.
Yes I wouldn't want to remove my Nvidia card for another as I'm not experienced enough to do so! Thank you for getting back to me.

@Antennas44 That sounds like a plan. I have two other PCI-E slots under my current GPU so I will try them soon. I should leave my PC alone for today but i will try tomorrow will get back to you. Please let me know if you find anything that I can try too.

@Antennas44 Nope I cannot move my GPU as when i move it to my next PCI slot the cords that power it cannot reach and i would not like to extend the cords as i am taking it back to my supplier this week. I have a funny feeling that my power supply is my problem at the moment so i would like my supplier to have a look at it instead. I had no luck getting a signal from my GPU or my CPU in the end so one can only assume they are both not receiving power.
I will let you guys know what the problem is when i get feedback on my PC.
