Couldn`t find answer to this problem anywhere so apologies if there is a topic on this already.
Problem is my MOBO Gigabyte 970A-DS3P does not recognize my sys_fan2. It is a 3-pin connector and the fan is connected directly into MOBO and spins at max RPM. I would like to control the speed using voltage control with the help of speedfan, but in BIOS the fan is not recognized. The thing is that on speedfan the fan is recognized but cannot be controlled. could anyone please help on this, the max RPM are super loud and driving me nuts. And it is a 3pin sys_fan socket not PWR_socket so I should be able to control the voltage.
Is there any software or any other way that could help BIOS detect the fan?

If the fan isn't being detected in BIOS then there is an issue with the fan header, the BIOS or both. Have you tried running another fan of similar nature(3 pin) on the culprit header to see if the same issue exhibits itself? If so then you may need to:
a| perform a BIOS update(or flash the existing one with first release BIOS) and see how that bodes for your system
or
b| contact your seller and Gigabyte about the issue and if you're under warranty period should see an RMA take place.

If I can recall(not sure exactly when or where) but the same case was found with a similar board. Can't say if the issue was resolved though.
