IDE ssd problem plss help....................................................................................

Solution
Ah the fact that you can't even format it tells me one of two things

1) Bad SSD
2) Even though the enclosure works it may not be compatible with the drive.

The only other thing I can think of is maybe get a different IDE/SATA to USB Adapter or get a 44 Pin to 40 Pin adapter and try to connect it directly to a IDE Cable if you have a PC that has a IDE on it to test it really. This is one of those things where it is hard to really diagnose over a forum and not in person but it sounds like it is one of the two things i listed to me.

Well this looks like it is something exclusive to only japan for the most part so hard to find anything on it first of all and second hard to find anything in english lol At first i thought maybe it was a knock off but there are some sites that show 4-5 stars on the rating and benchmarks on it as well.

My next thing would be the USB enclosure that could be an issue or an issue with the SSD itself maybe?

Open up an elevated command prompt. Then type in each line with an enter

diskpart
List disk

see if it say anything is free and if it shows up as 4Gb there as well.

Also have you tried it on another PC? I'm just hoping you didn't get ripped off or it may be failing.
