mobo for i7-6700k

ive been looking at the asus maximus ranger VIII and the Maximus VIII Hero is there any difference at all and would they be good with the i7-6700k (not overclocking)?

You aren't going to OC? If you aren't why would you go for such expensive mobos? And why go for the unlocked version? Mobos at those price points don't differ much.

See what features you want or need and chose accordingly. Any of those boards are great. I also like my MSI Z170A Gaming M5.

But if you aren't going to overclock it's not worth to go to a K CPU and or to go for a Z mobo

I went with the Hero, great mobo (in sig), the Ranger is a good one also as is their Pro Gaming. I went the Hero as I throw a lot at my rigs and am constantly testing new hardware - it's taken everything I've thrown at it, runs cool, great BIOS, good for OCing ;)
