Well. I am really looking into building a computer with the purpose of music production in mind. Also I will be doing some causal video editing every now and then and watching movies on it. I use Fl studio if thats helpful, and i will be recording a lot using an audio interface. I've done a little bit of research on what seems to be the best specs for me. I am just not sure if all of these parts will work well together or if there are better parts that will be more beneficial to get. If anyone could take a look at the parts I'll be looking get and tell me what you think of it or give suggestions on what would be better. that would be awesome.

Solution
1) low end power supply. that psu is considered the b1 series. you want evga's b2 / g2 / gs / p2 series. the nex is not sufficient for this type of system.
2) you could definitely save some money and lose the unnecessary liquid cooling. air cooling is always a better choice and lasts much longer.
3) go with an r9 380 or 380x 4gb over the gtx 960 for a little better performance at lower cost.
4) definitely overspending on the case big time. that money should be put into better quality internal parts. putting that much money into the case is always waste unless you have top of the line parts already.
5) you have an overclocking build, but the slowest speed ram selected. faster speeds are close in price and can only benefit you.

6) music editing generally doesnt take up a large amount of space. also, video editing is better done on a hdd rather than ssd. an ssd can only take a certain amount of writes whereas a hdd can be erased and written on with no penalty. also you need the larger storage size. you are better off with a combination of a 250gb ssd and a 1tb hdd. the samsung 850 pro is more optimal for a large number of writes for things like video editing and reliability, but it is a decent amount more expensive so i dont recommend going that route.
7) personally i'd drop the blu ray drive. its outdated tech and you can buy an external one if you really need it for occasions.

on a side note, your pcpartpicker link goes to nothing. you cant take the link in the address bar. there is a permalink within the webpage, up top.

Not only did you have a lower performing system, but you were overspending by $150. if you count the blu ray drive, than $100.
