Hi Everyone,
I'm new to m.2 ssd. I'm using DIY desktop with Asus Z97-E/USB3.0 mobo, i5 4690K, X1 GPU GTX750 Ti. Using m.2 250Gb ssd has my C:/ drive all other SATA ports use for TB HDD drives
Q: m.2 ssd have so many type which type can use with my Asus Z97-E mobo (Single Sided, Double Sided, SATA III (6Gbps) and PCI-Express 3.0 x4). e.g
a)Crucial MX200 M.2 Type 2260DS (Double Sided) 250GB SATA 6Gbps (SATA III) Micron 16nm MLC NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CT250MX200SSD6
b)Crucial MX200 M.2 Type 2280SS (Single Sided) 250GB SATA 6Gbps (SATA III) Micron 16nm MLC NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CT250MX200SSD4
c)ADATA Premier Pro SP900 M.2 256GB SATA 6Gb/sec MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) ASP900NS38-256GM-C
d)SAMSUNG 850 EVO M.2 250GB SATA III Internal SSD Single Unit Version MZ-N5E250BW
e)SAMSUNG 950 PRO M.2 256GB PCI-Express 3.0 x4 Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V5P256BW
Thanks All,

Solution
The board has a M.2 NGFF M-keyed slot (Next Generation Form Factor)Your pc can use both PCIe Gen2 x2( not in x4) & SATA3, Double or single sided with an M-KEY ( slot in the card plug) with width/length of 2242 (22mm wide x 42mm long) or 2260 or 2280

And before anyone says an M-Keyed PCIe runs at x4, not in this machine, only configured to run PCI-e x 2 lanes
