On an AT&T SIM card, I'm getting like 60 Mbps download whilst with upload it spikes initially to like 0.3 Mbps before falling to 0.0 Mbps about halfway through the speed test...upon switching to HSPA+ from LTE, i get the usual upload speed...when I switch to my T-Mobile SIM, LTE upload is perfectly fine...so the only thing being affected is the AT&T LTE...any idea whats causing this? It's clearly not a problem with the phone's LTE radio, as the T-Mobile LTE works perfectly, and it's not a problem with all of AT&T's bands, just the LTE and it's only the upload; download is completely fine...it's not like the upload is altogether broken either, as you have to be able to get the signal to ookla to initiate the speed test...this all started randomly tonight...SIM was perfectly fine before

most likely reason: people are oversaturating the bandwith and thus you are left with nothing.
Mobile connections don't have load balancing, anyone using it gets at most capped at the operator specific max speed.
so if upload bandwith with AT&T happens to be 100MB at that cell tower, first person can use up 20 of that, next 50 and all the rest 500? well, they get to share the rest 30, meaning 0.06MB/sec.

Except.. first to come, first to serve basis means that third gets as much as they use so.. less for rest of them to share.

In short, too many people using mobiles to upload data, the up/download rate is heavily time/place related.

wasn't that...just stuck the at&t sim into another phone and the upload worked perfectly...copied the exact apn settings over and still the same, so i guess there's something wrong with the phone, though it's odd that LTE upload works perfectly fine over the t-mobile sim...going to factory reset and see if that resolves it :/
