Did my new pc kill my old GPU

Hi all
Bought a second hand pc for a decent price.

Specs:
CPU: i7 6700
MOBO: Asus z170 Pro Gaming
RAM: 16GB HyperX Savage 2133hz
PSU: OCZ ZT 650

I put in my old GPU: GTX 560 to tie me over until I picked up something new (installing new drivers of course).

When it first went in there seemed to be no problem. I installed steam and left it overnight to download part of the games library to test the following day.

When I loaded CSGO it something happened (was a little while ago now). When I reloaded there was a considerable amount of artifacting and it the CPU reset a couple of times too before I gave up.

I removed the card - tried it in my old AMD pc rig and I had the same artifacting - so I figured I've killed the card.

My concern is - did my NEW pc kill my old GPU? If yes - what is the most likely culprit?

The mobo tracks the PSU voltage and it is sitting at 12.192V which I believe is ok. I put the old GPU back in last night to see if I saw a difference in the voltage with it in but I didn't - I suppose I need to see it under load?

Any comments would be much appreciated. I don't want to buy a new GPU only to kill it and have to deal with returns.

I now live in Poland and customer service here is a completely foreign concept.

Thanks all!

Thanks for the reply Alan.
It was my suspicion also. A mate I've been gaming with for more than 10yrs said the same the moment I mentioned it was an OCZ PSU.

The frustrating thing is when I was looking at this rig I checked reviews on all the parts. The PSU has surprisingly good scores for what is apparently a GPU blowing ticking time bomb...

I have a preferred supplier when I'm based so will probably opt for a Corsair 750 RM - bit steep price wise but aside from that - a solid PSU??

Any comments on that one would be appreciated - I'm giving up looking at reviews at this stage after last time..

So I'm going for the SeaSonic afterall.

It's an incredible price for a well built PSU.

I'll be getting it alongside a Sapphire R9 390.

I have a slight concern about the power ceiling on a 620w combined with the 390 but I'm going to give it a shot.

Thanks again Alan

I'm looking at the S12II 620w (or the modular version) but I see that both only have one 6 pin and one 8 (6+2) pin PCI-E cables??

I need two 8 pins for the R9 390 that I am looking to buy - so I suppose I HAVE to go up a notch to the 750w option in any case?!
