Urgh CPU overheating warning message help.

So basically I've had my computer for the past like 5-6 years, it works fine no problems mostly except this stupid warning that basically been coming up for the entire time that I've owned the pc in the bottom right hand corner saying WARNING! temp at so and so degrees, now I'm not really too fussed about the overheating aspect of this issue but rather stopping that message from actually coming up constantly when I'm playing games or doing other stuff.
From what I can tell from looking around not one else has or is bothered by this message other than the infamous blue screen of death, which this is not. It's just a little blue warning box in the bottom right hand corner that comes up regardless of what I do and I would appreciate it if anyone could help me out with this problem.

What are your full specs and what is your actual CPU temp? If your CPU is overheating, you will need to fix it otherwise you are at a high risk of damaging your system. You should try reseating the cooler and reapplying the thermal paste.

Sorry, this is the first time I've posted a comment on here so if I do it wrong I apologise. Did you just want the DxDiag file that has all that stuff in there? Also when the message comes up it's usually between 70-80degrees in the warning message. Like I said I'm not really too worried because I've had this machine for like 5-6 years now and that message has been coming up since the beginning and yeah I'm not to tech savvy and probably wouldn't feel comfortable tinkering around on the inside of the machine, since the last time I did that with my old computer I basically destroyed the graphics card

What CPU is it? Reapplying the thermal paste is a pretty simple process and guides can be found online, the DXDiag won't be necessary for this issue.

It's an Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500 CPU @ 3.30 GHZ, also I got a screenshot of it happening but I'm not really too sure how to actually paste that picture on here.

70-80c for an i5 isn't too bad, does it get any higher than this? What is actually giving this warning? If you upload the screenshot to imgur you can paste the link to it here
