Howzit guys,

Wonder if someone would be able to help me, I have a i7 4790k running on an ASUS ROG Maximus 7 Formula motherboard liquid cooled, pc has been running perfectly lately but I went away and when I came back I noticed my CPU was running very high all the time - basically over clocking itself all the time running at about 4.8 GHz which I then managed to down clock but now its turbo clocking itself all the time at between 4.0 and 4.4 GHz which is this processors turbo boost range.

The issue is when I try to reset my Asus Suite 3 to its default settings it comes up asking me to reboot which I do then my pc reboots but I get a black screen like my monitor goes off basically and just hangs there, not sure how to get past this point at the moment. I have tried resetting my BIOS which works but ASUS seems to reapply the over clock or whatever its doing when windows boots so not sure how to proceed here.

If anyone has any advice or knows a fix for this issue please assist
Thanks guys much appreciated :)

Okay but I dont believe this helps unfortunately as Asus Suite 3 is a live over clocking utility so it it will still keep the overclock when you uninstall. Please correct me if I'm wrong I just read that on the ROG Forums ?
