I'm wanting to buy a printer that supports supertabloid size paper (13x19).
Most of them however seem to have negative reviews in terms of picture quality.

These are three printers that seem to stand out.

HP Officejet 7612 Wide Format e-All-in-One
Epson WorkForce WF-7620 All-in-One Printer
PIXMA iP8720 (I'm not really a fan of top loading printers)

I print both text and pictures a lot so I'd rather not have to buy a dedicated photo printer.
My budget is about $500 CAD

What do you suggest I go for?

Personally I would go with Epson, I've used their printers for decades and never had real problems with any of their models. In fact, only reason I ever replaced their printers was ink prices for old models and need for new features! (except an A3 color laser printer, that one got replaced because of misuse and general wear over a decade that completely destroyed the transfer, and replacing the transfer and heads was going to cost more than replacing the whole thing! Died at the ripe old age of ~200000 prints)
