Here's the story: Built this machine 16 months ago, running an i7, GeForce 970. Always had it connected via HDMI to my 60-in. Samsung.
After about a month of not even turning my computer on, I hit the on button and it didnt process the turn-on. After panicking and switching out cords for a bit, it finally turned on, but now it has this horrible 800 x 600 resolution that the computer does NOT let me fix. It says "display settings could not be saved" when I try.
Anyone have any ideas? Unless ghosts run through my place when I'm gone, there hasn't been any physical trauma to the machine.
