i am looking to upgrade my current graphics cards with one that will increase my fps on csgo global offensive currently getting (50-70) and aiming at 100-110.
specs:gpu ati randeon hd 3870
cpu:intel core 2 duo e6550 2.33ghz
ram:4gb
motherboard:gigabite p35-ds4

i know its not worth it to upgrade such a pc but in about 5-6 months i am getting my new pc so i would like this one to go a little bit faster and since i will keep it as my 2nd pc i wouldnt mind it to be a little bit stronger!what graphics card could improve the fps i get on this pc?

Solution
I have asus gtx770 oc and amd 8350+ 8GB ram and fps is 200~ish (med/high graphs.)

so 770 or 750 ti is good choise and ddr3 memory is cheap so you could upgrade ram to 8GB same .

Those litle things should boost your performance just fine.

If you are wanting something decent for not much money, you can't go wrong with a GTX 750 Ti. It is certainly cheap for what it can do!

Is CS:GO the only game you play?

depending on what country you are in you might want to look at the gtx960.. in my country its atm in the same price range as some 750 ti's, the difference being the 960 i much better = more for the same money, but again i guess that would depend on what country and/or vendor stock

I probably would have recommended the gtx 960, but they are double the price in my country.
