The most I'm willing to spend is $150 CDN which limits my options but what would be the best motherboard on that price range? The best motherboard I've found so far is a Gigabyte B150M-D3H DDR3 at $104.

We will need to know the sort of processor you're looking forward to populate the motherboard with. If you intend to pair a K suffix Skylake processor with a B150 chipset you will not be able to overclock the processor, however, if you're looking to pair it with a quad core Skylake i5, you're going to be well treated.

On the topic of the motherboard, the gaming nomenclature has been loosely added to anything that is a motherbaord(these days). As long as a motherboard can accept your processor of choice while the system meets the minimum requirements for game's/titles you'd like to play then you've got yourself a gaming system.

Here are all the B150 chipsetted motherboard available in your region.
