Hi, I just got a brand new PC, installed both windows and mint 17.3 and my soundcards dont get recognised. Let it be known that I have NO clue about Linux and am tearing my hair out, one by one...
I have tried everything and after much searching, I believe that the drivers are simply not there.
There are two cards - I have no clue which one I should be using, and even less of a clue how to get the drivers (I have installed the very latest of everything - in terms of drivers - as far as I can tell)
The cards are
Card-1 Intel Device a170 bus-ID: 00:1f.3
Card-2 Advanced Micro Devices [AMD/ATI] Cape Verde/Pitcairn HDMI Audio [Radeon HD 7700/7800 Series]
Could someone please help? (btw: my kernel version is 3.19)
