My friend currently has an R9 280x and is looking to upgrade to an MSI GTX 970. His power supply isn't modular so he doesn't know whether he will have the correct cables to plug it all in (as I think my 970 has an 8-pin and a 6-pin) and he thinks he only has 2 6-pins. The PSU is a Corsair CX600.

Solution
Although quality isn't the best , the CX600 has the proper connections and more than enough power to run a 970.

PCI-Express Connector
2 x 6+2-Pin

A GeForce GTX 970 needs 28 amps on the 12v + rail and at least a 500w power supply with 1 - 6 pin PCIE and 1 - 6+2 pin PCIE power connections.

The CX 600W meets the requirements. :D
