60hz to a 144hz monitor will my computer support it ??

Hey guys , just to begin with , I am french and I am also really newb when it comes to computers even if I spend days and days playing computer games . I will try my best to explain you my contraints !


Ive been playing CS:GO for about a year and ive recently heard about the 144hz monitor and how big the difference was between a 60hz ... The thing is I really dont know if my computer/graphics card will be able to support the 144hz monitor and I dont want to spend 400ish $ into something that will hurt my computer in a short/long run. Thats why I am here , because I know you guys know alot about the subject :)



I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti graphics card with a Intel Core 7i CPU 920@ 2.67 GHz ... ( And I think Ive got a 500 power PSU ) not totally sure about that tho



You guys might need more information about my spec so I will link all the spec informations and hope it works !



I would like to know if my computer overall will support the 144hz monitor and if not what should I buy/replace to make it possible

144Hz means it can display 144 FPS. Anything more than 144 FPS won't be displayed by the monitor. If you are getting 200-300 FPS now than you can fully take advantage of a 144Hz monitor.

Just keep in mind that CS:GO is much easier to run than most other PC games. If you play other games that require more power your 750 Ti won't get anywhere near 144 FPS.

This doesn't actually hurt anything or cause any problems. It just means that the higher refresh rate of your monitor will be wasted on those games.

I get around 200-300 fps depending on what I am doing .. So I should be allright ?

Thanks mate , I see things clearly now , I was afraid of any overheat situation or any hurtful kind of stuff due to a so so GPU ! I am buying this monitor mostly to play CS:GO , where i get 200-300 fps so I should be allright ,
