Following is my PC basic specs

CPU : Intel Pentium G3220 3.0 Ghz
GPU : Sapphire R7 250X 1GB GDDR5
RAM : G.skill RipjawsX 4GB 1333mhz

Can I run Grand Theft Auto V on this system. I have seen many videos on YouTube that show GTA V being run on this exact same GPU. I can lower settings to play but the game should be playable and not just run.
I can currently play Ghosts, MW3, Cricket14, Arkham Asylum at 1024 x 768 (i am happy playing at this resolution)
Thanks.

Want to be completely sure before buying it. It's still quite expensive.
By the way, what do you mean by panning around?

The game wants to use as much ram as possible. On my system I have 16 gb and the game sometimes uses over 8gb ram not to even mention vram which he has 1 gb

There is a video on youtube that I assume you've watched of a guy playing it at 1366 * 768 (using that cpu and an R7 250). He claims he gets over 30fps with low graphics settings, this is at a slightly higher resolution than you intend to play and with a slightly weaker GPU. If you're happy to play with low settings at that resolution and don't expect much over 30fps then for you it will be playable.

If you do have any spare change the advice to increase your RAM to 8gb is pretty sound. It's as cheap an upgrade as you can get and will make a difference to your system.

I think it will run but will it be playable ? I think it will be around 30 but can you deal with stuttering and cutting

Read everything that everyone has said.
I think I should sit back and wait for upgrading my system before buying the game. Since there is no guarantee that I can constantly get 30 FPS on my system even on the lowest settings possible.
Thank you everyone for the responses.

This is the exact same video after which I posted this question. My GPU is slightly better than this one. And the game runs smooth in the video so I thought I would be able to play too.

I think with 8 GB RAM you'd run it pretty decently.

I have a crap graphics card (HD5470M 1 GB) and dual-core, first generation i5 with 8 GB RAM in a laptop. GTAV runs surprisingly well in low settings on this setup (25-30 FPS) @ 1024*768...put it on just out of curiosity even though it's well below the minimum specs.

Granted, that processor has hyperthreading and yours doesn't, and it's running off a SSD, but it's definitely being held back by the GPU in my case.

Now push things to high/nearly maxed settings, and my FX-8320, GTX 970, and 16 GB RAM system gets worked pretty hard in GTA V.

I suggest you should get the game in the next steam sale.
