This is sort of my dream build. "Blue Dragon" is a collection of PC parts and peripherals to completely suit my needs. This build was inspired by Ed(gar) from TechSource, and I think this build is absolutely perfect. Please check out the custom parts as well and give me your thoughts and opinions. Thanks!

Generally it is an over the top build. The noctuas you have chosen are not the classic silent noctuas. These are designed for industrial applications and although they look better (for some) the operate at high rpm with high noise output. I don't know if this is intended. If it is the higher air flow doesn't really make for the higher noise. In that case i don't think there is reason in changing the phanteks ones that come with case,

And since this would also be a gaming system i would suggest to use a 480GB ssd or 2x240.Your memory ideally should be 4x4 set instead of 2x8 since x99 supports quad channel. The performance difference is debatable but it is the right way to go. Also I would go with the Extreme 6 instead of 4. Kraken...

The real big question here is why 2 optical drives (i wouldn't use one let alone two).

I'm going with two instead of four sticks of RAM so I can easily add another couple sticks later and save money. I'll think about getting the 480GB SSD, and I'll look into the Extreme 6. I originally thought "if their cheap why not get two" but I see your point so I'll stick with one ODD. Thanks.
