I fool some into thinking I know more than I do without trying, I'm sure I wont fool anyone on here. To save time, Please, please treat me like the extreme noob I am.

X58 can be tricky with 24GB of DRAM. Are you OCing the CPU? What you will run into is the 1366 is an older socket and was designed for use with the 2GB based memory chips that were commonly used on sticks then (and have compatibility problems with newer DRAM that uses high density 4Gb memory chips.. Also While most can run 2000 DRAM, with an OCed CPU, it more oriented to doing so in a 3x2GB or 3x4GB (either 6 or 12GB of DRAM total). For 24GB I'd look at the GSkill Ripjaws model F3-12800CL9T2-24GBRL, which was my favorite for X58, or believe Corsair still has their Vengeance CMZ24GX3M6A1600C9 available (had them at the Egg about a week ago anyway)

I really would rather plug and play. I can OC the CPU with the software that came with the MB. It will ramp it up to 4.16 GHz but I keep it at 3.90 GHz. I built this comp. a while ago and 3 months before I started it I new only where the power button was on my DELL. heh, my knowledge hasn't increased much since. I built it for gameing and CAD.
So given your answer I gather to not buy a 3x4GB kit because of the problems I will face but rather 3x2GB kit to total a 12 GB set up instead of a 24GB setup.
