Hello Tom's Hardware,
So, I found a EVGA GTX 460 to put in my new duct tape steam box.
Here is the computer.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-Optiplex-760-Mid-Intel-E8400-Core-2-Duo-3-0Ghz-4GB-DVD-RW-Desktop-PC/231897799574

And here is the GPU.
http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-460/specifications

So I saw this picture here, and got confused.

My question is, will that GPU work with the PC?
If so, will I need a bigger PSU? If so, what is a good budget size?

Thanks in concurrence!

Solution
Arent these ones low profile? If so it prob will be too tall.

On the bright side, you can just use steam to stream from your other computer so you dont need a powerful gpu in this one.

Yea. I picked this for cheapness. The story was, my friend went from a GT 430 to a GTX 960! So I'm getting his graphics card. I currently have a 6 core AMD rig with 8GB ram and a GTX 750 ti. This is just my casual steambox for playing GMOD and source mods on my couch. I just searched for a cheap computer that would be compatible with the GPU he was giving me. Then I went to Goodwill with my dad and rummaged around, and saw a GTX 460, so I bought that. Now I plan on using that.

EDIT: My bad, the title doesn't coincide with the specs. Let me fix it.

its not gonna fit without serious modding

also the power supply is a custom piece of **** , it will not run a 460 and you cant easily replace it

I'm determined to have this GPU and a better PSU. Can I not just take a hacksaw and make bigger holes for the PSU and GPU? And if it really becomes a problem, then I can just put the components in a cheap case right? I don't plan on Fallout 4. I plan on Fallout 3 and CS:GO.
