My friend has recently recieved this laptop from his gf , It was inactive for 3-4 months because he didnt have the proper charger , recently he bought a charger and opened the laptop , The laptop should ( this model) have a built in the motherboard graphics card or an amd card that is meant for this build , his GF isnt a computer girl so she doesnt know much about the specs , The pc simply doesnt detect the GPU.

We tried :
installing games and trying them ( says no GPU detected 0
updating various drivers NVIDIA INTEL AMD
currently trying - re-install/upgrade windows .

Does anyone know anything that could help?

Solution

keep hitting F2 while the computer starts. If it doesn't work google the laptop model + "Bios key" and see what else you should be hitting instead of F2.

GPUZ should tell you what's what. If it doesn't, go in the BIOS and see if there's a setting concearning this.
