My dell inspiron 530 doesent boot after adding more ram..help...

so i just got 2 new ram sticks both are 1GB each and wanted to upgrade from 2 gb to 4gb so i tried adding the sticks.... NOPE the pc will not boot it will just stay on the dell inspiron logo with half of the progress bar.... i tried removing the old ones and add the new 2GB sticks and the pc works again when i try to add 1GB more pc wont boot whats going on? i tried adding each ram each time i booted the pc but everytime i go to 3GB the pc just wont boot... all the ram sticks are at 667mhz and all of them are 1GB i have the G33M02 motherboard...also sometimes the pc will not even start and it will start 3 beeps fans will go full speed and wont shut down until i do it...please help :/

intel pentium dual core e5200
2gb ddr2 ram 667mhz
300W PSU
nvidia gts 450
 


You are probably unlucky and have bought ram that is incompatible with your current ram. Either return the new sticks and try a different brand(best would be to go to the computer shop with your pc if you're not buying online) or get a 2x2g kit and remove/sell the old ram.

Update: i finally fixed it but the problem now is it says that i can use only 2GB of the 4GB ram and i have windows 10 pro 64 bit also bios register all 4 ram sticks whats the problem now :/ ?
edit: so i guess my pc had the option to have max memory 2GB i changed it thru the msconfig to now have max memory to 4GB !
