So I have 2 router, one downstair and one upstair the one below is connected with modem and the upper part is just connected through LAN cable to the downstair router. Both of the router have 2 different brand the one below is dlink and the one above is alfalink. The problem starts when i hold down the reset button on the alfalink modem..... then only one of my computer can connect. whereas handphones and other computer cannot connect. So i check that the one that is working has the default gateway of 192.168.0.1 (which is the dlink router) while the others that aren't working are using default gateway of 192.168.2.1 Can you help me to fix this problem? thanks..

Solution
I think it is the default gateway on the Alfalink.

Current Diagram as I understand your description:

Modem --------->[WAN]DLink(downstairs)[LAN] ----------->[LAN]Alfalink (upstairs)----------> Computer(s)
Default Gateway 192.168.0.1 192.168.2.1

What IPs and subnet masks are assigned to each router?
Which router is responsible for DHCP IP assignments?
